I’m still forgetting everything that I knew that would take me there. “Store up your treasures now.” I hope you’re prepared. Your gift to fuel your efforts searching for the promised land, fed and full and sated by the blood on your hands; offering your followers a wealth of milk and honey, raping congregations, pleading penance with their father’s money. Every man, woman, and child, dragged slowly in single file. I’m a new bride defiled by the salt of your hand. Does he watch as his land decomposes? Tend his flock as they piss in the roses? Sow the seeds in our filth and our bile? Chew the roots as we wither and smile? I waited patiently to find peace in that very hope for martyrdom interwoven through so many, to rise in cherubic glee and take the bullet, to spatter and stain every holiest name. Plunged into this world in a vessel of sin, a wilted heart embedded in porcelain skin. My palace of decay behind Cheshire grin. Your perfect piece of paradise is so paper thin. Eternity with all of you? I’d kill myself again. Your motives bury every word that you say, a glimpse of heaven and you’d burn all of our bodies to light your way.

What a blast!
Heavy, in fast and in slow moments. It's like getting your skin ripped off by a wet storm of cutting guitars and the nervously pushing and never resting rhythm section.

What might a band like Indian Summer or Native Nod sound like if they were thrashing around a 21st century basement? It could be something like this. Luke

I've finally got Black Line on physical copy and this record actually blew my mind. There's so much beauty to this album but also its so crushingly heavy and extreme in an audio sense, Respire don't hold back they just let everything go and beyond, amazing!! Darknight
